The day after the Fourth!

July 5th, mom and I went to Memphis to do some shopping! We had a very fun filled day of sushi, cookies, and girl time!

Mallie says "come on mom!!!"

So I found some pink socks that I thought Mal maybe could walk in so her feet don't get so rough. They were a little big and she hated them. :)

So naturally I had to see if they fit Bud/Puff. :) He was equally, if not less, thrilled than Mals.

Mallie and Bud/Puff were playing and Mals got a little shook up in the process. This resulted in what looked like a blood blister in her left eye. Just to be safe (and because we may have freaked out), mom and I took her to the emergency center in Memphis on Summer Ave at 10pm at night. Not our smartest decision but it was the closest and we needed to get there quick. Luckily, it was just a busted blood vessel and it will heal on its on. :)

Happy Fourth of July!!

This year for the Fourth Landon went to the lake and I stayed with Mom and Dad! It was a perfect day other than missing my husband!

At school we made these flags for our parade! I forgot to take a picture after we put the stars on but you get the idea!

Bud/Puff walking!

Mallie learned how to walk! She is loving it!!

She had to get her food on the table because Bud/Puff wants a bite! She thought she was hot stuff!

Mom made chocolate gravy! Best chocolate gravy EVER!

Daddy cooked ribs, fresh corn on cob, baked potatoes, and mom made slaw! Perfect Fourth of July meal!

After supper nap!

Missed the three sweet boys on the lake! Could they be any cuter?!!

One day...

Landon and I will have a normal week. If feels like it hasn't been normal since I started working in Jonesboro. Friday, I left work a little early because I felt another kidney stone coming on. Sure enough, by the time I made it Marion it was getting bad and by 8pm it was worse. Mom and Daddy came over and sat. There wasn't really anything they could do but them being there helped. Daddy and Landon went to eat (which I'm so thankful because Landon worries so bad and he needed some distraction) and brought us something back even though I couldn't keep it down. We had plans to go to the lake but I kinda messed that up with my whole kidney stone issue. Hopefully we will figure out some sort of plan when I go to the urologist Tuesday. :( The beginning of this week has been good though. So far no excitement! :)

Corey and Drake played at Ohio State this weekend and killed it! Miss these boys so much!

Our whole street flooded!

Bud is still nameless. Poor thing.

We are working on this friendship.

Landon's new office! Still a lot of work but it's coming!

Golf selfie! After seeing this "thick" lady having someone take pictures of here "twerkin" (I think) and "dropping it low" as Landon says, he thought it was a good time for a golf selfie.

The last two weeks....

Have been quite an adventure, to say the least. Landon got a promotion at work which is a blessing from God. He has worked so hard and I am so proud of him for all he has accomplished. I experience one of the scariest moments of my life, kidney stones. Yep, admitted to the hospital and everything. I have never seen Landon or my dad so scared in my life. Luckily, mom and Mrs. Nan were there to keep everything together. Lord knows it would have been a hot mess if they weren't there. Turns out I have 2 kidney stones, not just one. So that's another issue in itself. 5 days later and I STILL have not gotten rid of these things. Hopefully it will end soon. Anddd Mom adopted a fur baby! His name is Bud, I think. When mom got him his name was Puff or Puffy but they changed it to Bud, last I heard. He is so cute and we are happy is apart of our family! Meme and Pop also came to visit us today! We love every minute we get to see them!

I sent Landon grocery shopping. This is what he comes back with... Ohhhh how I love my husband!

Happy Father's Day!

Landon and I have been blessed with so many wonderful fathers in our life! We can always depend on these men to be there for us no matter what! We are so thankful that we have been blessed with them!

My dad is my absolute hero. I can truly say I would not be where I am today without him. He has been my biggest supporter no matter my decisions and I cannot thank him enough. I am my daddy's little girl. I also have the best father in law around. He has taken me in as his own and I could not be more grateful for that. My Pop is the nicest, most genuine man I have ever known. He does not have a mean bone in his body and I will always be his "BoBo" no matter how old I get. He has passed on his overprotective role to Landon and believe me that says a lot! My Papaw Jimmy celebrated his Father's Day in heaven. I miss him, his singing, and his wisdom everyday but I know he is no longer suffering. I don't have a picture of Bumps but we sure do love him too! We tried to stop and surprise him last Friday but he was out running around! He never stops going! The last father in my picture is Landon. I cannot wait until he becomes a dad. I have no doubt he will make the absolute best daddy to our little one one day. :)

Happy 3 years!

June 11th marked 3 years that Landon and I have been married! I can honestly say these have been the BEST 3 years of my life. I truly believe that God made Landon for me. He is such a humble, caring, and sincere man that I could not love more. He treats me better than I deserve. I could not imagine spending my life with anyone else! He is my best friend, supporter, and soul mate!

This year for our anniversary, we both worked all day and then I rode with him to hit a few golf balls! I bought him a membership to the golf course for our anniversary because I know he has missed it so much! He got me a new pandora bracelet with a Happy Anniversary charm! After golfing, we went to eat Mexican at Mi Pueblo and then came home and rested! I wouldn't want it any other way!

This was a candid shot from our wedding day and we LOVE it. It pretty much describes us to a T. :)

Crazy Arkansas Weather.

This week we have had some crazy weather. As if I'm not scared of storms enough, the terrible storm that hit Jonesboro Thursday was right in the middle of a school day. I was sitting in my car on the phone with Landon with the storm blew up. Yes, I was freaking out. He didn't believe me when I said it was THE strongest wind I had ever seen in my life. Then came the rain. Side blowing rain that could take your eyes out if you aren't careful. Next came the tornado sirens. All I could think about were my kids in the classroom who were napping. I tried to push my car door open but the wind was too strong so I had to wait for it to die down for a minute. Finally it did and I cut out running to the back door right beside my classroom. By the time I got to the building a huge gust of wind came and almost knocked me over to the point I had to grab the corner of the building and pull myself around. It was quite traumatic. Luckily I had left the back door unlocked, so I swung it open and ran in only to find my classroom empty! I could hear my kids saying/screaming "Where's Mrs. B?!!" They were already in tornado mode thanks to my great new tech! We were in tornado mode for a good hour and a half. Our power went out at 12:45 and was still out when I left at 3:30. It was a crazy, crazy day but everyone is safe and that's all that matters. I didn't really have time to freak out a lot because I was taking care of my kids who were freaking out. So it worked out. 😉

Corey's Senior Trip!

I realize all these blogs are about Corey. But he will be off to college soon and then we can talk about me and Landon again. So for now, we are going to talk about him! For his senior trip, mom and dad took him to Boston to watch the Red Sox play! Here are some of the pictures I got!

This is the view from their hotel.

White House.

Mom said this hallway looked like Titanic!

Corey and Logan Forsythe. He was also a brothers boy!
