Iceapocolypse 2014

Sooo this ice/snow storm was a shock to me. I underestimated Mother Nature. Before the ice and snow hit, Saturday night Landon and I spent time with friends! He went to Beale with a few of our friends and I went to Marianna to see my best friend!! We both had a great time! Sunday is when all the weather started!! It very beautiful but very cold!! Landon and I were both very fortunate to not have to go to work in this mess! However, I was a little sad to have missed my first day of my new job because the clinic was closed!

It was a very successful day though! We got up and went to eat Mexican with Mom, Daddy, and Corey because their power was still out from the night before. You can ALWAYS count on Mexican to be open. Mom was a little concerned that they wouldn't have enough servers, because we ran into that problem at Cracker Barrel, so Landon quickly explained that they probably all lived together anyway! Ha! I was also informed that there are no rules on snow days. Landon doesn't stop at stop signs. Daddy passes people on ice because they are going too slow. It's a fend for yourself kinda day.

After lunch, we came home and rested for a while until I started cleaning. Landon says I clean ALL the time. You can never be too clean! :) Keep in mind, we have had power through this entire storm! I had waited to put clothes in washer in fear of the power going out while there was clothes in there. I decided at this point it should be fine and we should be in the clear. WRONG. I dropped the first set of clothes in the washer with the water running and the lights go out. I kid you not, as soon as the clothes hit the water, bam! No power. Seriously!!!! Seriously!! The temperature started dropping very quickly seeing as how we have nothing. No heat, no nothing. We decided to head to Mrs. Nan and Mr. Brett's because they had power. At this point, Mom and Dad still do not have power. We spent the rest of the night with them until we got the message that our power was back on. We also found out that I am off work again tomorrow and Landon doesn't have go in until late unless the bridge is still bad. Yay for snow day #2!

The guys on Beale!

Perfect Weekend!

I have thoroughly enjoyed getting off at noon on Fridays. Usually when I get off at noon, I go home and clean or do homework or clean. Haha! This Friday I decided to do something different since I only have one more Friday of getting off early. :( I took mom lunch to her house and then I rode with her and daddy to Corey's game. Landon met us at the game when he got off. He was a little jealous that I got to watch the whole game while he had to work. I quickly reminded him that pretty soon he would be able to make a lot more than me when I start my new job! After Corey's game, we went to Osaka to eat! It was a great time!! Saturday morning we woke up, got ready, and headed out for more baseball! This game was forever long though! They were giving all the pitchers 2 innings to pitch. Of course Corey didn't throw as many pitches as the rest of the pitchers. He threw 9 straight strikes his first inning up. And he only threw 6 pitches his second inning. Needless to say, he is the bombdotcom. I'm not just saying that because I'm his sister (so what if I was, but I'm not :) ). He has worked so hard and it is all paying off for him. After that three hour game, we went to eat the Germantown Commissary. I had never been but it was so good! I am loving all this family time!! Corey is such a family oriented kid and it is so great to see his face light up knowing we were there! After we ate, Landon and I ran to target to get a few things, then we headed home for a nice quiet night. Sunday, Jackson turned FOUR! I can hardly believe it. He so smart, funny, and an all around perfect little boy. We couldn't love him more! We drove up to Pocahontas to Party Poppers for his party! After the party we went to eat Mexican! Landon and I came home after that and did some quick cleaning before getting ready for a new week!

National Pets Day was also this week! Can't forget my Malsy!

Landon, Corey, and Daddy waiting at Osaka.

Mom and Daddy wanted to keep Mal while we were gone!

Love this sweet face more than words!

The birthday boy didn't quite make it!

Perfect week!

We had a wonderful week! Although we were extremely busy, we had a blast! Grayson was at the office most of the week and he is walking and into everything so needless to say, I actually slept through the night more than once this week!! It was nice! Ha! Thursday night, I helped Mrs. Nan make cookies for Jackson's 4th birthday party! That's right, y'all. My sweet boy turned 4! Where has the time gone?! I'll get to that in another post. This is just for the week. I have to keep them separate so my OCD doesn't freak out. ;)

Mrs. Nan and I went to the kids consignment sale in West Memphis for Blayne to get the boys a few things. I found a little treasure of my own. I almost cried when I saw them. I had to have it. It is the entire set of Beauty and Beast tea set. I have always wanted it but the only place you could by them was at DisneyWorld and they have stopped making them! So I made my little $6 purchase and I am so proud of it!

Too Cute Tuesday!

Today I am sad to say that I had to make a page for Corey for the baseball program. Because he is a SENIOR. WHAT?! 😳 I almost cried while making it. Where has the time gone? In the mist of me tearing up about this, Mallie starts throwing up.... Profusely..... More than once... She is feeling a little better now after some babying from her dad!

So fun Saturday!

Cheesy, I know but that's all I got. I'm not very creative with names for my blogs. Anyway, we had a great Saturday! We got to keep Jackson and Easton! They always keep us so entertained! Jackson was so funny. When first got here, he picked up Landon's PS3 controller and wanted to know if it was to a real "bideo game". I told it was and that he could play it if he wanted. So he picked out a baseball and so excited he couldn't stand it! He did so good though! He even hit a home run! He said it was the best game ever! Jackson wanted sausage pizza for lunch so, of course, we had sausage pizza for lunch. Then we snuggled up on the couch and watched Cinderella. Jackson and I sang the "Cinderelly song." He was shocked that I knew it, and to be honest I was too! It has been years since I have watched it! Jackson told me all about his glasses and how they don't break! I've been having eye issues all week so I put my glasses on about halfway through the day and Jackson was excited that we matched and now I could see good like him! Easton spent most of the day talking and talking and talking. I really wish I knew what he was saying because he was seriously telling us something. He stand at the tv and press the off button and then yell at the tv until we turned it back on! He is so funny! Jackson, Easton, and Mallie ran/crawled around the circle of the living room and kitchen over and over. That wore them out pretty good. After Jackson had his snack of "square crackers", he crawled up on the couch and went to sleep. Easton was already in my lap asleep. Next thing I know, Jackson and Landon are both snoring. We cherish these days that we get to spend with them! Tonight, Landon wanted to go eat so we got ready and headed out. Landon decided on the Rendezvous since I've never been. It was sooooo good! After we got back, we started watching one of my favorite movies of all time, Grease!! Landon claims he has seen it but I don't think he has. He also said I've made him watch it 8 times. Whatever. I could watch it a million, and I probably have! ☺️Love days like today!
